Frequently asked questions
The ‘108’ in RHYTHM108 comes from an ancient mathematical number which denotes balance – it’s a golden number in nature that pops up in so many places – and is perfect to represent who we are.
We believe in balanced living – Being present, taking a moment, and enjoying the small things in life! This philosophy can be found in the products themselves, with a perfect balance of well-sourced wholesome ingredients alongside a decadent indulgent taste.
We wanted to name the business for what it was – it’s about simple craftsmanship (our products are made by experienced Patissiers) and about keeping connected with nature, through food. It’s about food being as much about pleasure as about function.
We make all our products in our VERY OWN bakery in the foothills of the Swiss Alps. We are a bunch of passionate artisans and patissiers, who believe in the craftsmanship behind every product - something we are very proud of! This is where all of our recipes and creations start and finish, meaning we oversee the whole process.
You can find our products in over 5000 locations throughout Switzerland, the UK, and Ireland. Visit our stockist page to find out exactly where your nearest stockist can be found.
Yes you can! We are stocked in a range of places from independent cafes, yoga studios, health food shops and garden centres through to large retailers. If you are interested in stocking us at Hello@rhythm108.com
Yes, everything we make is gluten-free. Our bakery is a gluten-free facility. However, we do use gluten-free oats, so if you need more information about these please get in touch. We are also not certified gluten-free by the Coeliac Society and therefore our packaging doesn’t have the logo, but we test our products to be under 20 p.p.m. which allows us to label gluten-free.
Yes they are, and this is something that makes us different. From the beginning we source organic ingredients for all our products because we want to support an alternate system to purely industrial agriculture. Organic farming supports a healthy soil. This is so fundamental to our entire food system in the long run – without it, we couldn’t have the diversity of food we need to maintain our health or the quantity we need to survive. With enough support and research, we believe this method of farming has the potential to provide enough food at an affordable price, and can also take care of and nourish the planet. No, we don't use any preservatives, artificial ingredients, or any flavourings. The great taste is achieved by using high-quality ingredients and working with artisan patissiers who know how to create our award-winning treats!
Yes we are a fully vegan company, meaning we do not use dairy in any of our products.
Our Coconut Cookie Tea Biscuits and our Super Coconut Chocolate Bars currently do not contain nuts in the recipes. However, there may be traces due to shared equipment in the same bakery.
So unfortunately, our all All Day Snack Bars and Ooh La La Tea Biscuits could contain traces of peanuts and other nuts.
Our Deeelicious Chocolate Bars may contain traces of almonds and hazelnuts, but are peanut-free.
We are not officially fair trade certified, however we source many of our ingredients from co-operatives and family-run farms. Our aim for the future is to source 100 percent of ingredients this way.
This is very unlikely, but because we make all our products with real, natural ingredients there is always a small chance a piece gets through. Please get in touch if you have found one in your products.
Yes. Our All Day Snack Bars can be popped in the microwave for 10-20 seconds or in the oven for a minute in the parchment paper tray that comes with the Snack Bar inside. (Please remove the wrapper before placing in the microwave or oven). When warmed through, take out and slowly and enjoy. Heating up our All Day Snack Bar makes them even more tasty and gooey!
On our Shop the Pantry page you can click through each product to find a full list of ingredients and nutritional information.
Currently, our Ooh La La Tea Biscuit Share Bags are compostable. When mixed with your home garden compost they take around 4-6 weeks to break down. For the best results rip the bag into smaller pieces and regularly turn your compost pile. We hope in the future we will be able to have every range packaged in compostable materials.
Compostable means that the packaging is capable of disintegrating into natural elements in the right conditions, leaving no toxicity in the soil. The soil from the compost bin is then reused in gardens to grow new plants.
It is true that currently there are not enough community composting areas in the UK to keep up with the demand. However, we believe that being part of a conscious move towards compostable packaging will increase the demand for local composting, actively encouraging more to be set up.
